Leading supply chain solutions provider, NFI, has been named the Lowe’s Carrier of the Year. Providing dedicated fleet solutions to the home improvement and appliance retailer, Lowe’s awards a transportation provider each year based on overall performance level and customer service. Lowe’s presented the awards at its 2017 Annual Lowe’s Global Transportation Conference, in Mooresville, N.C., attended by more than 200 carriers. Criteria for the award include superior performance in the categories of on-time service, load acceptance, and EDI shipment status compliance.

“We are honored to receive Lowe’s Carrier of the Year award,” said NFI President & Vice Chairman, Ike Brown. “Safely delivering product on time and providing superior customer service are the forefront of what NFI has been known for over the past 85 years of operations.”

NFI also received the Platinum Carrier Award for outstanding service. The Platinum Carrier Award is presented for on-time service in excess of 99/2 percent inbound, 99.8 percent outbound, and a compliance record of 99.8 percent for the past year. Each year, Lowe’s presents these awards to carriers that have consistently exceeded Lowe’s growing transportation needs throughout the year.

Known for safe and reliable delivery, NFI’s dedicated transportation provides customers consistent capacity and security in knowing shipments will arrive on time with product integrity. More than 2,600 drivers operate NFI’s North American dedicated fleet, representing one of the largest segments of its more than 8,300 employees.

In addition to dedicated transportation, NFI also provides non-asset transportation including brokerage and transportation management, as well as intermodal and drayage services. NFI’s elite transportation offerings provide end-to-end solutions while paired with its distribution, commercial real estate, and global logistics services.
