Ike Brown

Vice Chairman, President and Co-owner

Ike Brown is Vice Chairman, President, and co-owner of NFI, a premier integrated supply chain solutions provider.

NFI, founded in 1932, provides global supply chain solutions and has locations across North America. Its suite of solutions consist of asset-based dedicated transportation and drayage, warehousing and distribution, real estate, and non-asset based transportation services including brokerage, transportation management, global logistics, and intermodal.

Ike has had numerous responsibilities since his start with the company in 1977. In 1980, Ike moved to Dallas, Texas to oversee NFI’s operations in the Southwest. During the 80’s, Ike grew NFI to be the largest contract carrier in Texas and a major truckload carrier in the southwest.

In addition to his duties at NFI, Ike currently serves as a Trustee at the National Jewish Hospital in Denver, CO. Ike, and his wife, Candy, are active supporters and founding donors of the new Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. Ike is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.  He has formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Social Venture Partners Dallas, Dallas Jewish Community Center, Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, Greenhill Schools of Dallas, and the Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind.  

In 2009, Ike and Candy were named honorees for their help in building the Kellman Brown Academy, a Jewish day school in Voorhees, N.J. In 2010, they were also named honorees for the Dallas area by National Jewish Health in Denver, Colo.  In 2019, they were the selected as the Honorary Chairs for Social Venture Partners Dallas 5th Annual Philanthroparty. In 2021, Ike and Candy co-chaired the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum annual Hope for Humanity Dinner.

Ike and Candy have also been actively involved for a number of years with FIDF.  In 2010, they provided funds for new gym equipment for the soldiers of Magav Hakotel in Jerusalem.  In 2020, they funded the gym refurbishment for the Golani Brigade.  In 2021 and 2022, they committed funds to support FIDF’s Project Overcome and funded the new Rehavam Base with a fully equipped gym.  In October 2023, at the beginning of the Israel war, they funded supplies and an ambulance to the FIDF Emergency Campaign.

Ike earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University in 1976. Ike and Candy live in Dallas, Texas and have three children, Jordan, Aaron, and Zach, and four grandchildren.
