CAMDEN, N.J. 08/29/2022 – Troy Adams, Vice President of Real Estate at NFI, will speak at VMA22: International Trade Symposium, focusing on Supply Chain Diversification. Adams’ session entitled “Why Not Virginia?” will take place on Thursday, September 29, in Norfolk, VA. Adams will join industry experts in a panel discussion around the importance of supply chain diversification and the availability of space in port markets. The panelists will showcase an NFI build-to-suit project that will handle containerized freight arriving at the Port of Virginia and the associated economic impacts on the region.
NFI, a leading supply chain solutions provider with over 90 years of experience, operates one of the largest distribution and transportation networks in North America. With a portfolio of 74 million square feet spanning more than 160 warehouses, the company offers its customers a unique perspective as both an industrial real estate developer and warehouse operator. NFI’s team handles all aspects of the real estate development and construction process, utilizing its deep industry knowledge, local relationships, and in-house expertise to ensure that facilities are built exactly to their customers’ specifications.
“NFI is already a stakeholder in many regions where new logistics facilities are being developed, with Virginia becoming a major hot-spot,” said Adams. “Addressing the requirements of today’s supply chain is a top priority. Our real estate portfolio continues to expand to serve our customers, with a focus on developing cross-dock, transload, and industrial outdoor storage facilities in these growing hubs — a weak spot in the industry.”
By remaining people-led and technology-enabled, NFI is committed to providing flexibility and agility for all its customers. The company’s business lines include dedicated transportation, warehousing and distribution, eCommerce fulfillment, integrated logistics, transportation management, port drayage, intermodal, global logistics, and industrial real estate.
