The milestone reflects years of sustained investment in zero-emission transportation and demonstrates the operational scalability of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in real-world freight environments.
The 10 million miles were accumulated across NFI’s growing electric fleet, which supports customer operations nationwide. The achievement underscores the company’s ability to deploy, manage, and scale zero-emission transportation while maintaining the service reliability customers expect from diesel alternatives.

Through partnership with the JETSI Project, the company has installed 38 fast chargers, a dedicated EV maintenance shop, and an on-site microgrid that incorporates solar power and energy storage, enhancing the resiliency and reliability of its charging network. This leadership has helped customers navigate the SCAQMD Indirect Source Rule and produce WAIRE points in the region.

The 10 battery-electric trucks operating in Virginia are set to cover three million emission-free miles over the course of the six-year program.
