NFI, a leading supply chain provider headquartered in Cherry Hill, N.J., recently announced the promotion of Veronica Hawkins, Ph.D., to Vice President of Talent Strategies and Solutions. In this newly-created role, Hawkins will help NFI continue to excel in the areas of talent acquisition, training, development, and aligning its people strategy to the company’s business goals.
Hawkins started at NFI in October 2017 as the Director of Talent Development. In just over a year, Hawkins created the framework focusing on attracting and retaining the very best talent for NFI. Hawkins currently serves on the Purposeful Leadership Client Advisory Board for Linkage, which specializes in executive leadership development and coaching.
“Veronica’s extensive experience in talent development and understanding of NFI’s core values make her a perfect fit to lead our continued effort to attract, develop, and retain the best talent,” said Nancy Stefanowicz, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at NFI. “Veronica has helped redefine how the company engages with and develops employees through a more hands-on approach to better establish goals and measure performance. As an employer of choice, we look forward to continuing to build our talent base and enhancing our development strategy.”
Founded in 1932, NFI has more than 10,900 employees spanning 300 locations throughout North America across numerous areas including operations, engineering, sales, transportation, and IT. The company continues to grow and is in the process of building its new corporate headquarters on the Camden Waterfront, with plans to move in June 2019. This past March, the company was recognized as a Delaware Valley Top Workplace by The Philadelphia Inquirer.
