Leading supply chain service provider, NFI, has completed a milestone, growing its warehousing footprint to more than 30 million square feet over the past 30 years. The company now operates 31 million square feet on behalf of its customers across North America.
“Operating 30 million square feet has been a goal for our company,” said CEO, Sid Brown. “It is our valued customers who have allowed NFI to expand across North America. As we continue to grow and increase capacity, NFI can provide more opportunities for our customers to grow as well.”
Family-owned and now celebrating its 85th year of business in 2017, NFI provides customers engineered solutions with flexibility and customization unique to a private company. With a variety of capabilities, NFI has a hybrid distribution offering comprised of dedicated and shared warehousing facilities. In addition to its extensive warehousing presence, NFI also provides value-added services that span kitting, contract packaging, light manufacturing and assembly, labeling, and refurbishment.
NFI’s commercial real estate offerings complement the warehousing services, providing customers a single source solution that can leverage both real estate and distribution expertise, enabling flexible distribution solutions. NFI also provides services in dedicated transportation, brokerage, global logistics, and intermodal.
“It is the commitment and vision of our more than 8,300 employees for 85 years that has allowed NFI to evolve from a transportation company to a full service supply chain solutions provider,” said Brown.
NFI recently completed the acquisitions of Canadian 3PL, Dominion Warehousing & Distribution in December 2016 and Connecticut-based 3PL, United Express in August 2016, adding to the company’s portfolio and reach across North America. In 2016, NFI ranked as a top provider in numerous industry publications including Inbound Logistics Top 100 3PLs and Transport Topics Top 50 Logistics Companies.
