Leading supply chain solutions provider, NFI, joined the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for Bike MS: City to Shore, raising funds to find a cure for MS. With more than 100 riders on September 24th and 25th, Team NFI raised over $57,000 and is the event’s official logistics provider.
The City to Shore ride is a two-day event where cyclists ride up to 150 miles, raising money in support of the MS Society. Team NFI has participated riding for 19 years and has been the event’s official logistics provider for seven years, donating time and resources to execute event logistics in preparation for and throughout the ride weekend. Transportation of bikes and gear as well as warehousing of food, water, and supplies are key components to the ride’s round-trip course from Cherry Hill, N.J. to Ocean City, N.J., ensuring safe bike transport and fully stocked rest stops.
“The City to Shore ride is an amazing opportunity for NFI to support the 2.5 million people living with MS,” said Jeff Brown, NFI President & Vice Chairman. “We are happy to donate our logistics resources and expertise as well as participate with a team of cyclists to create a world free of MS.”
The National MS Society mobilizes people and resources to assist those living with MS and fund research to stop MS in its tracks. Last year, the Society invested $54 million in more than 380 research projects around the world.
