NFI, a full service supply chain solutions provider, has once again been selected by Inbound Logistics as a Top 100 3PL Provider. Recognized by the logistics publication since 2007, NFI has continued to grow and expand its service offerings and capabilities.
It is a great honor to be included in Inbound Logistics’ Top 100 3PL Providers 2012 list. Competition was fierce as 3PLs from across the nation submitted their qualifications. After evaluating submitted information, conducting personal interviews and online research, and comparing data to readers’ burgeoning global supply chain and logistics challenges, IL editors distilled and compiled the Top 100 list.
“One key driver in our selection process was how a logistics solutions provider enables value for its customers. In today’s economic climate, 3PLs must produce direct savings for customers by optimizing transport networks, reducing inventory-to-sales ratios, or advancing the order-to-cash cycle. New ideas on the part of shippers, such as shared services, require that 3PLs establish relationships needed to create and share capacity and solutions. It is also important for logistics partners to act as business change agents, driving their customers’ ability to match demand for their products more closely to supply, aligning enterprise operational performance to the larger economic trend. That is what NFI does, and why we are happy to recognize it as a 2012 Top 100 3PL,” states Inbound Logistics editor, Felecia Stratton.
At the core of NFI’s warehousing, distribution, and logistics services are dedicated and customized solutions that provide reliable, robust support to facilitate accurate inventory control, create transparency in warehousing processes, and generate mission-critical data to continuously improve distribution efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.
NFI offers additional services to complement our key warehousing, distribution, and logistics solutions, with each service designed to drive cost efficiency for NFI customer supply chains. Some additional value-added services include contract packaging and decorating, reverse logistics, and vendor management.
This diverse suite of logistics and transportation services can address any business challenge. Whether by NFI’s dedicated fleet, consisting of more than 2,000 tractors and 7,000 trailers, or NFI’s intermodal capabilities partnered with major rail networks, NFI’s expedited rail service keeps our customers’ freight moving with truck-like transit times throughout the U.S. and Canada. These capabilities allow customers to feel assured that their freight is transported efficiently and safely.
In addition to this accolade, 2012 marks NFI’s 80th anniversary and has been named Food Logistics Top 100 3PL & Cold Storage Provider. Since 1932, NFI has been growing into the international 3PL, warehouseman, and supply chain expert that it is today. With increased competition, NFI is staying ahead of the curve by being committed to delivering its customers fast, smart, and efficient supply chain solutions.
