NFI Recognized in 2020 Quest for Quality Awards by Logistics Management

CAMDEN, N.J.

Leading supply chain solutions provider, NFI, was recently recognized by Logistics Management in its annual Quest for Quality Awards in the categories of Truckload: Dry Freight Carrier and 3PL: Value Added Warehousing and Distribution Services. Published in the magazine’s August Issue, the lists are based on reader surveys and offer insight for shippers in choosing a provider that is equipped to best meet their supply chain needs.

“By providing customized solutions for our customers, we become a true extension of their business,” said Sid Brown, CEO of NFI. “NFI’s unique consultative approach in becoming a strategic partner is exemplified by our commitment to continuous improvement. We will continue to innovate to increase efficiency, as well as adopt new technology and invest in the latest equipment to bring even greater value to our customers.”

Companies in the category of Truckload: Dry Freight Carrier were graded on on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment & operations. With a transportation fleet of more than 4,500 tractors and 12,500 trailers, NFI’s dedicated solutions span dry truckload, refrigerated transportation, flatbed, tanker, intermodal, bulk, and conestogas. NFI partners with leading vehicle manufacturers to test electric trucks within its Southern California drayage operations and plans to continue expanding its electric fleet.

Logistics Management’s 3PL: Value Added Warehousing and Distribution Services category ranks companies based on customer service/value added services, order fulfillment, transportation distribution, inventory management, and logistics information systems. With over 300 locations and more than 50 million square feet of warehousing space throughout North America, NFI leverages state-of-the-art warehouse management systems (WMS) technology, as well as robotics and automation to refine operations. In addition to automated ecommerce fulfillment centers, NFI’s warehousing portfolio consists of food-grade facilities, cross-docks, transloading, and customs exams, as well as campus environments to maximize efficiency and leverage shared resources.

Founded in 1932, NFI is one of the oldest and largest privately-held 3PLs in North America. NFI services many diverse industries, including food and beverage, retail, ecommerce, consumer packaged goods, and manufacturing. NFI’s full suite of supply chain solutions includes dedicated transportation, distribution, brokerage, transportation management, port drayage, intermodal, global logistics, and real estate.
