NFI, a leading supply chain solutions provider, was recognized by Logistics Management with its annual Quest for Quality Award for 2019 in the category of Dry Freight Carriers. The list, which was published in the August issue, offers shippers insight into logistics providers that can best help them meet their supply chain goals. As one of the oldest and largest privately-held 3PLs in North America, NFI offers over 87 years of experience serving a variety of industries, including food and beverage, retail, consumer packaged goods, and manufacturing. The end-to-end supply chain solutions provider manages a dedicated and drayage fleet of over 4,000 tractors and 9,700 trailers. NFI’s transportation services also span refrigerated transportation, brokerage, transportation management, intermodal, and yard management/spotting.

By becoming a strategic partner and extension of our customers’ business, we can help identify opportunities for greater efficiencies in order to help them exceed their business goals.”
NFI continues to promote sustainability and innovation within its dedicated and drayage fleet, recently partnering with industry-leading vehicle manufacturers to begin operating electric trucks, as well as implementing a charging station within the Southern California region. NFI also operates Near Zero compressed natural gas trucks fueled with renewable energy and electric yard horse tractors. Equipped with the latest technology to enhance safety and performance, NFI’s fleets utilize lane departure detection, tire pressure monitoring systems, lane assistance, cameras, and more.
