NFI, a leading third-party logistics company, was recently recognized in Logistics Management’s list of 2019 Top 50 3PL Providers. Published in the June issue, NFI ranked 25 nationally and 42 globally. The annual list highlights providers based on revenue and offers shippers insight into the top companies in the supply chain industry.
“NFI has grown tremendously over the past 10 years, with our talent base reaching over 11,300 associates throughout North America,” said Sid Brown. “NFI’s evolution and success can be accredited to these individuals, past and present, and their commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility – all key values within our company culture. Every employee has made a difference at NFI and we are grateful for the dedication and passion that we see every day.”
NFI continues to expand year over year, most recently acquiring SCR, an intermodal-focused brokerage company based in Seattle, Wash. The acquisition has helped to enhance NFI’s non-asset intermodal services, as well as its refrigerated capabilities. NFI also continues to experience organic growth within its other service offerings. Additionally, NFI is always searching for new and innovative solutions to improve the customer experience throughout the supply chain, implementing technology such as automation and robotics.
Founded in 1932, NFI currently operates approximately 50 million square feet of distribution space across North America, while its dedicated and drayage fleet is made up of over 4,000 tractors and 9,700 trailers. In addition to distribution, dedicated transportation, and port drayage, NFI’s integrated suite of supply chain solutions spans transportation management, intermodal, brokerage, global logistics, and commercial real estate to provide comprehensive solutions. NFI serves a diverse customer base, spanning various industries such as retail, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, and manufacturing.
