NFI, national logistics provider based in Cherry Hill, N.J. will participate at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey’s annual Touch A Truck. The fun-filled event will take place on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Promenade at Sagemore in Marlton, N.J. The event will feature more than 40 vehicles for children to play in as the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey aims to raise awareness and vital funds to help seriously ill and traumatically injured children.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for families coping with illness. Funds raised provide children with private bedrooms, daily meals, laundry facilities, and activities for the children.
NFI will also be helping the Ronald McDonald House accomplish its mission by providing a 35,000-pound tractor trailer for the Truck Pull during the Touch A Truck. The event consists of teams of 10 pulling the tractor trailer 50 feet and competing for the fastest time.
In addition to the Truck Pull, attendees will also enjoy a visit from Ronald McDonald, face painting, entertainment, and games. Other sponsors and attendees that will be joining NFI include firefighters, policemen, emergency responders, and other businesses.
Those interested in attending can obtain more information at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey’s Events page. Pictures are also available from last year’s Touch a Truck at the NFI facebook.
