Truck Drivers and Forklift Operators to compete in safe driving exercises in Waxahachie
NFI is excited to kickoff the 2014 Truck & Forklift Rodeo season with the first regional rodeo event in Waxahachie, TX. Truck Drivers and Forklift Operators will compete in strategic safe driving exercises from 8am-2pm on Saturday, May 17th at 201 Butcher Road, Waxahachie, TX.
NFI Rodeos have become a tradition for employees and their family members across the country. At each of the five regional rodeos Truck Drivers and Forklift Operators are ranked based on their ability to complete a driving course. Courses test the driver’s safety habits and ability to maneuver vehicles in work related atmospheres. Contestants must have a clear safety record and demonstrate safe driving behaviors to participate in their region’s rodeo.
“Safety is our top priority,” said Joe Roeder, NFI President of Transportation and Distribution. “The NFI culture is driven by our high safety standards and targets, and we have many programs in place to ensure that our employees are operating safely. Rodeos are a great way to reward our employees with the best safety scores and celebrate their skills.”
Come out to support the NFI drivers in Waxahachie, TX on May 17th and enjoy free food and fun for the whole family. This event is open to the public.
