GPVN’s founder, Alex Archawski, who is an Operation Enduring Freedom Search and Rescue Swimmer (Navy) Veteran, will speak at the event along with Lisa Stern, the Economic Empowerment Vice President of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).
The Greater Philadelphia area (Southeastern PA, Southern NJ, and DE) has one of the largest veteran populations in the country. One of the biggest challenges a veteran faces when they leave military service is finding a job.
The GPVN Round Table Series was created to bring together Human Resources representatives and hiring managers in the Philadelphia area who are committed to hiring our Nation’s veterans to discuss best practices, challenges, and other related topics.
NFI has a robust Veterans Association and is dedicated to hiring veterans for opportunities across corporate functions as well as positions as drivers, mechanics, forklift operators, logistics coordinators, and project managers.
“NFI values the commitment that our veterans have provided to our country and we are devoted to hiring and training America’s heroes as they begin their civilian careers,” said Dina Cooper-Williams, Talent Acquisition Project Manager at NFI.
