NFI, a leading supply chain solutions provider, has been selected by Rent-A-Center to support a key sourcing and distribution initiative slated to be launched by the rent-to-own operator this spring. To better service Rent-A-Center stores across the United States and Puerto Rico, NFI will launch a supply chain solution leveraging strategically located distribution centers while deploying an integrated transportation solution consisting of transportation management and dedicated fleets.
“NFI’s integrated supply chain solution approach is truly unique, and I believe that approach will result in elevated service levels for Rent-A-Center, its stores, and its customers,” said Sid Brown, NFI’s CEO. “Rent-A-Center’s business has advanced and evolved over the years, and NFI is proud to be a partner in Rent-A-Center’s continued growth.”
NFI will execute the plan in phases, launching in the Southwest and expanding across the country throughout the year. Shortly after the distribution centers are operational, the transportation solutions will be deployed to optimally replenish store inventories.
“We’re excited to be partnering with NFI on the new sourcing and distribution model, a key foundational pillar of our omni-channel transformation. It was adopted with an eye for driving heightened operational efficiencies to enhance our customer’s experience in our stores, and our future digital experience as well,” said Rent-A-Center Executive Vice President and Chief Omnichannel Officer Joel Mussat. “The focus is on bringing the right products to market at the right time, as cost-effectively as possible, to meet our consumer’s heightened expectations.”
