As markets shifted and customer needs evolved, NFI expanded capacity and delivered solutions designed for agility and scalability. This year’s progress was not defined by one moment but by the steady momentum behind every milestone, from expanding service lines and advancing electrification to deepening long-term partnerships and supporting the communities we call home.
Our managed transportation solution advances on multiple fronts this year. The appointment of Chuck Papa as President strengthened our focus on specialization and operational excellence, while continued growth in Digital Twin adoption gave customers deeper modeling capabilities and more informed planning across their networks. Together, these developments reinforce NFI’s commitment to providing disciplined, technology-enabled logistics that scale with customer needs.
Earlier than expected order volumes and shifting trade conditions sparked another year of rapid eCommerce growth. When new tariffs prompted customers to reassess their distribution footprints, our teams supported seamless relocations, standing up new capacity and rerouting inventory without disrupting service. Operations scaled to meet larger inventory expectations while protecting cost and speed, helping customers stay ahead of demand rather than reacting to it.
By expanding our asset drayage solutions to the Port of NY/NJ, NFI has strengthened our partnerships across all major U.S. gateways. This means our customers gain consistent support and a single strategic partner from coast to coast with one network, fewer handoffs, and more confidence during fluctuating markets.
Partnerships also grew in meaningful ways, including an expanded East Coast fulfillment center with Lamps Plus and a new Canadian distribution operation with Kohler. Long-term collaborations, such as with Wilsonart, continue to evolve through process alignment and data-driven 4PL optimization. We also launched a nationwide fleet in a new segment, route sales and merchandising, for a customer known for keeping mornings sweet. Growth continues to happen together with our partners, and always with shared goals at the center.
Our sustainability initiatives continued to strengthen the infrastructure and operational capacity of our electric fleet deployments. Through our JETSI Project partnership, we powered all 38 permanent fast-chargers in Southern California, advancing one of the nation’s largest commercial EV deployments. With additional capacity from our Prologis Mobility charging partnership, our West Coast electric fleets are now more capable than ever to serve the high-volume needs of our customers.
But electrification doesn’t end in the West. Together with Meta, we deployed our first East Coast battery-electric fleet in Virginia, bringing NFI’s zero-emission transportation solutions coast to coast.
Safety and security remain central to our operations, reinforced by the people, processes, and policies that keep both our teams and freight protected.
We earned a TCA Elite Fleet certification, recognizing the training and workplace standards that keep our drivers safe and supported on the road. NFI was also honored with the Theo Award in Transportation and Logistics for workplace safety and injury prevention, reflecting a disciplined and proactive approach to protecting our people every day.
On the security side, NFI earned the CargoNet Best in Cargo Security Award, acknowledging strong prevention practices, intelligence sharing with industry leaders, and network-wide vigilance at a time when cargo theft continues to rise.
When LA wildfires affected surrounding communities the NFI team mobilized quickly, coordinating thousands of donations from 10 local customers, ranging from paper goods and food to clothing, footwear, and furniture. Our Port Services and Warehousing teams supported the effort by transporting supplies to residents in need and distributing water and meals to more than 1,000 first responders. It was a powerful reminder that our network’s strength extends far beyond freight.
Through a four year, $1 million pledge—including $250,000 in 2025—the NFI Foundation supported United Way’s Camden Community Uplift initiative, which improves benefits access, job readiness, and digital connectivity for residents in our headquarters city of Camden. The initiative removes barriers that stand between people and opportunity, from interview preparation to internet access. Change starts locally, and we are proud to build another long-term partnership.
This year we unveiled VALOR, NFI’s Veteran Advocacy for Leadership, Opportunities, and Resources initiative—a unified effort that brings together the resources and career pathways we offer to military veterans across our organization. As a part of this commitment, our teams participated in Wreaths Across America for the eleventh year, storing and transporting wreaths to veteran cemeteries nationwide in a coordinated effort to honor and remember those who served.
With a goal of achieving measurable, long-term impact, the NFI Foundation supported organizations focused on access, education, and economic mobility in the communities where our employees live and work, providing over $850,000 in donations in 2025.
The momentum of 2025 leaves NFI more connected and better positioned for what’s ahead. What emerged this year was a foundation of meaningful progress and strategic growth that continues to shape the future we’re building together with our customers and communities. As we look to 2026, we do so with confidence in the infinite possibilities ahead.
