Here is an example of how our network protection works….

At 9am on a Friday morning, one of our customers found out they had to move forty truckloads of product out from one of their manufacturing plants in order to meet their fiscal year end. We received the call at 10am the same morning asking if we could help. The loads had to be out of the plant by 12 noon and most had to be distributed by 5pm. We mobilized drivers, tractors and trailers from all of our surrounding facilities. Some of the loads had to be transported via intermodal and we sent them through our NFI Intermodal Division. Our Transportation Division took other loads and started on their journey. Since some of the loads did not deliver for a few days, we found room at one of our distribution centers and off-loaded the trucks throughout the night. By 5pm, the entire forty truckloads were out of the customer’s plant. Twenty-four hours later, the product was either on its way to being distributed or was in a distribution center awaiting future distribution.

Our customer was very pleased.
