Each load received and shipped by NFI is maintained in conjunction with your inventory protocols and our logistics control systems. When products are released, they follow a strict process designed to maintain accurate on-time arrival schedules and maintain product integrity.
Our clients benefit from our systematic approach to shipping and activities surrounding the physical movement of goods by receiving reliable, timely service that is tracked through state-of-the-art systems with status updates available regularly, through our NaviTrace system.
Among the steps taken in our process are the following:
- Orders released by fax or EDI on hourly, daily, or weekly basis
- Bill of lading ticket generated and assigned to operators
- Products are picked, staged, placarded, and evaluated by a checker
- Order is signed off on and carrier is notified for pickup
Most shipping from NFI warehouses is done via live load. Floor loading, palletized loads, and slip sheeting are also available.
